Goa, Nov. 6 -- A test run of a newly-procured monorail coach at Mumbai's Wadala depot went awry on Wednesday morning when the empty train derailed and hit a beam, leaving three staffers injured and the carriage badly damaged, officials said.

According to sources, the incident occurred during a trial run at the depot and involved no passengers. The injured personnel reportedly included the train captain and two other employees, all of whom were treated at a hospital for their injuries.
