Calangute, March 4 -- Farhan Azmi, son of Mumbai's Mankhurd MLA Abu Azmi, has been booked by the Calangute police for allegedly brandishing a pistol during a scuffle at a supermarket in Candolim late Monday night.

The incident occurred at Newton's Supermarket around 11:12 pm when police received reports of a confrontation between two groups. Upon arrival, officers found both parties engaged in a heated altercation.

Initially, they refused to accompany the police to the station, but additional personnel were deployed to de-escalate the situation, following which both groups were brought in.
