Goa, Oct. 13 -- MTV, the world's first 24-hour music broadcaster, is set to end an iconic chapter in music television history. By December 31, 2025, the network will close its remaining five dedicated music channels across the UK and Europe: MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV, and MTV Live.

The decision marks the end of MTV's decades-long legacy as a leader in televised music content. Parent companyParamount Globalis carrying out a major global cost-cutting strategy, shifting focus toward entertainment and reality programming.
