Goa, June 2 -- A house in Shantinagar, Ponda, suffered significant damage after a fire broke out, reportedly triggered by a mosquito coil. The incident, which occurred recently, caused an estimated loss of Rs.2 lakh.

Fire and emergency services responded promptly to the scene and managed to contain the blaze, successfully preventing it from spreading to the rest of the house and nearby structures.

Authorities have urged residents to exercise caution when using mosquito coils and other flammable household items, especially during the summer months when fire risks are heightened.
