India, Feb. 5 -- Two persons were seriously injured in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a scooter at New Vada, Morjim, on Wednesday.

According to police, the accident occurred when the two two-wheelers crashed into each other from opposite directions, resulting in both riders being thrown onto the road and sustaining severe injuries.

Locals rushed to the spot and alerted the emergency services. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where their condition is reported to be serious.

Police have registered a case and are conducting further investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. Traffic movement in the area was briefly affected following the incident.
