Goa, July 28 -- The Moira Gram Sabha on Sunday passed a resolution to oppose any further mega housing or commercial projects in the village, citing that its carrying capacity has already been exceeded. The members expressed deep concern over the strain on natural resources, infrastructure, and the traditional village lifestyle.
During the meeting, several villagers highlighted the growing garbage menace, stating that unattended waste and irregular collection are turning parts of the village into dumping grounds. The panchayat was urged to take swift and concrete action to address the issue before it escalates into a public health crisis.
