Goa, May 2 -- Ramchandra Kamat, Vice Chairperson of the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC), has raised serious concerns over what he calls "selective transfers" within the Electricity Department in Mormugao Taluka. He alleged that only certain employees have been moved, while those with close ties to the local MLA have been allowed to remain in their positions.

In a strong appeal to Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar, Kamat urged the department to review the staff transfer process and ensure that postings are carried out fairly and transparently. "This kind of partiality is not only unethical but is also severely affecting the morale of sincere and hardworking employees," Kamat said.
