MARGAO, March 14 -- The Chief Officer of MMC has claimed that the protesting workers have been misguided by some and has clarified that the process to rectify the error of deducting Provident Fund from the Municipality's end has been completed.
Chief Officer Siddhivinayak Naik said that the issue of provident fund deduction has been going on for years and has advised the workers protesting to not get carried away. "Come to my office and get all your doubts cleared," Naik urged.
He said that he has bifurcated the entire provident fund issue into two parts, one of the retired workers and the other of the present daily wage workers.
