Goa, June 5 -- In a proactive move to support displaced families, MLA Praveen Arlekar has initiated roof repair work for 14 families rehabilitated from Mopa, aiming to improve their living conditions ahead of the monsoon season.

The repairs include the installation of metal sheet (patre) roofing, providing improved protection against the elements. These families were earlier provided Rs.5 lakh each as a government grant for reconstruction and repairs. However, with little on-ground progress, Arlekar has taken direct responsibility to ensure the work is completed.
