Goa, July 29 -- Goa's Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho on Monday called upon all industries operating in the state to prioritise the training and employment of local Goans, while outlining the government's vision for a more sustainable, export-oriented, and inclusive industrial policy.

Speaking at an industry stakeholders' meet, Godinho stressed that Goa's unique ecological balance limits the scale of industrial expansion seen in larger states, and hence the focus must shift to environmentally sustainable businesses and high-value, low-footprint industries.
