INDIA, Dec. 1 -- Residents in Margao have raised concerns over groups of migrants frequently occupying the footpaths along Old Station Road, with many reportedly found in an intoxicated state. Local leader Hemant Kavlekar questioned the continued inaction by the Margao Municipal Council (MMC), asking why no steps have been taken and under whose influence the lack of enforcement persists.
Kavlekar also highlighted ongoing issues with several food stalls in the area. He noted that although the FDA had raided seven stalls months ago for operating without valid licences, they continue to function in unhygienic conditions and without proper water supply.
