Goa, July 4 -- When asked about Calangute MLA Michael Lobo's recent remarks on Goa's growing drug problem, BJP Goa State President Damu Naik appeared to dismiss the comments as a publicity stunt. Without naming Lobo directly, Naik suggested that certain individuals were more interested in grabbing headlines than addressing issues constructively.
Lobo had earlier voiced alarm over the rising presence of narcotics in the state, pointing to the risk it posed to young people and the various channels through which drugs were being trafficked into Goa.
