Goa, Nov. 4 -- In a major breakthrough, the Bicholim Police have arrested the mastermind behind the murder of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl from Van Mavalinge, who was brutally killed about fifteen days ago.

According to sources, the accused was traced and taken into custody from Bengaluru, following coordinated efforts by the Bicholim Police team. He is alleged to have played a key role in planning and orchestrating the heinous crime that shocked the local community.

Police said the suspect is now being brought to Goa for further interrogation to uncover the motive and identify others who may have been involved.
