Goa, June 3 -- Thousands of protestors took to the streets of Belagavi on Tuesday under the banner of the 'Our Water, Our Right' movement, voicing strong opposition to the Karnataka government's Mahadayi River Basin project. The demonstrations drew participation from environmentalists, farmers, and civil society organizations, all united in their call to protect the ecologically sensitive Western Ghats.
