Goa, June 19 -- A massive power transformer was transported through the Canacona region via road on Wednesday, sparking outrage among local residents who questioned the complete absence of monitoring or coordination by authorities.

The oversized vehicle carrying the transformer caused significant traffic disruption and raised concerns about potential road damage and safety hazards, especially on narrow stretches and bridges.

Residents accused local authorities of negligence and demanded immediate regulation of such heavy vehicle movements. "There was no police escort or traffic control. What if there was an emergency or an accident?" asked one local.
