Goa, May 5 -- A massive fire broke out in a cashew plantation at Naik Wada, Mandrem, causing extensive damage and resulting in an estimated loss of Rs.20 lakh.

The blaze rapidly spread through the plantation area, destroying large sections of cashew trees and infrastructure before being brought under control. Firefighting teams responded promptly, but the exact cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation. Authorities are assessing the full extent of the damage while efforts are underway to determine whether foul play or negligence was involved.
