VERNA: Marina English High School, Verna, edged past Our Lady of Snows High School, Raia, 2-1, in the Independence Cup organised by Verna Sports Club at Verna Church ground, on Monday.

Meldon Moniz scored a brace for Marina English High School, while Godwin Pereira scored the lone goal for Our Lady of Snow HS. In the other matches, Saviour of The World HS, Loutolim, pipped Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna, 1-0. Vickey Kumar scored the lone goal.
