RAIA: Margao Sports Club secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Uguem Rising Club to move into the quarter-finals of 14th Wilred Leisure Soccer Cup 2025 played at the DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Monday.

The all-important goal came in the 12th minute of play through Edger Noronha for Margao SC.

Uguem Rising Club got a golden opportunity to equalise in form of penalty kick when their player Jacce D'Costa brought down by Margao SC goalkeeper Karol Soares and penalty shot was wasted by Macson D'Costa.

Edger Noronha of Margao SC was awarded the man-of-the-match by Sandip Verlekar, club member.
