Goa, Sept. 13 -- Margao Police conducted two raids recently, seizing e-cigarettes valued at over Rs.5 lakh and arresting two individuals under the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019 (PECA).

The raids targeted illegal storage and distribution networks in the region. Authorities said the arrests and seizure are part of ongoing efforts to curb the sale and use of e-cigarettes, which are prohibited under Indian law.

The arrested individuals are currently in police custody, and further investigation is underway to identify any additional links to the illicit trade.
