Goa, Dec. 24 -- Around 13 daily-wage workers have written to the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) seeking the immediate release of their pending salaries, which they allege have remained unpaid for the past two months. The workers have also demanded that they be granted permanent status, citing long years of service.

In their representation to the civic body, the workers highlighted the financial hardship caused by the delay in wages, stating that many are struggling to meet basic household expenses. With Christmas approaching, they expressed hope that the MMC would clear their dues in time, allowing them to celebrate the festival with dignity.
