Goa, Dec. 31 -- A dispute between two rent-a-bike operators in Mapusa spiralled into violence, leaving one man seriously injured after his ear was bitten off during the clash. The incident shocked locals, who immediately alerted the police.

Mapusa Police rushed to the spot and detained both men involved in the altercation. They were subsequently shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the dispute and whether further legal action will follow.
