Top seed Mandar Lad outsmarted Chaitanya Goankar in the last round to remain unbeaten by securing nine points and emerge champion in the 8th edition of late Chandrakant Naik Memorial All-India Open Rapid Rating Chess Tournament organised by Quepem Taluka Chess Association in collaboration with Government College Quepem, under the auspices of Goa Chess Association and All India Chess Federation, at the GCQ Auditorium, Quepem, recently. A total of 285 players from across the country participated out of which 116 were rated players.
