Goa, Sept. 10 -- The Range Forest Officer of Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary has arrested Gurudas Mahadev Kuskekar from Haldikune, Netravali, for illegally using electrocution to kill animals along the sanctuary's border.
Authorities said the accused had created a direct electrical connection using a hook from the main 11kV power line passing through his property, posing severe risks to both wildlife and humans. Forest officials conducting routine patrols discovered the dangerous setup and noted that they themselves could have been electrocuted while inspecting the area.
