Goa, Jan. 5 -- Members of various Hindu organisations in Mapusa raised concerns over the reopening of amusement rides at the Bodgeshwar Jatra. They met Mamlatar Anant Malik to question why the giant wheel and other rides operated by Kader Shaikh were allowed to run. According to Malik, Kader had obtained all required permissions except for the PWD approval, which had led to the rides being previously closed. Of Kader's 10 structures, nine have been permitted to operate, while the 'Maut Ka Kua' ride will remain shut. The Mamlatdar emphasised that the authorities had followed proper procedures, but Hindu groups questioned the reopening despite pending permissions, highlighting safety and regulatory concerns during the festival in Mapusa.
