India, Jan. 30 -- A major fire broke out at the Gaulaxmi Saw Mill in Davorlim on Thursday, gutting the entire wood stock and machinery stored at the facility and resulting in heavy losses.

Upon receiving information about the blaze, five fire brigades were rushed to the spot. Firefighters are continuing operations to bring the fire fully under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby areas.

According to initial reports, the intense flames destroyed all raw material and equipment inside the saw mill. However, no casualties have been reported in the incident.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and authorities are expected to conduct a detailed assessment of the damage once firefighting operations conclude.
