Goa, Dec. 18 -- Dimapur police averted a potentially dangerous situation late on the night of December 16 after a car illegally entered railway tracks near Dimapur Railway Station in Nagaland. The incident gained widespread attention after videos showing the vehicle stuck on the tracks went viral on social media.

Officials said the incident occurred at around 11.35 pm when a Mahindra Thar bearing registration number NL-01/CA-8181 strayed onto the railway line approaching the station platform from the MXN side. Acting promptly, police and railway authorities worked together to safely remove the vehicle, ensuring there was no harm to passengers or damage to railway infrastructure.
