Goa, March 10 -- Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, who oversees the state's financial matters, revealed on Monday the intention to establish a third airport in Mumbai during the presentation of the FY26 Budget. In his address to the state assembly, Pawar indicated that the new airport would be situated near Vadhvan port, which is expected to become operational by 2030. He also noted that the Navi Mumbai International Airport is currently 85% complete, with trial operations already conducted. Furthermore, the Mumbai Metro will provide connectivity to the existing airports, and a night landing facility at Shirdi airport is set to be introduced in the near future.
