VALPOI, April 11 -- Valpoi police have arrested one person for shooting the person accompanying him, while hunting for wild animals in Valpoi. Accused Abhijit Desai, aged 34 of Dodamarg, Maharashtra was arrested for accidentally firing a gunshot at Hemant Hirba Desai, of Advoi Sattari while hunting wild animals. Both had gone for hunting in the Cashew plantation at Fulasaryo, Advoi Sattari on Thursday. Abhijit was taken into custody and arrested.

Hemant Desai, a 32-year-old resident of Advoi Sattari, was allegedly shot dead under mysterious circumstances during a hunting trip in Valpoi. The incident took place when Desai and another individual ventured into the forest to hunt, during which Desai sustained fatal gunshot injuries.
