Goa, Dec. 11 -- The Luthra brothers, wanted in connection with the Goa nightclub fire that claimed 25 lives, have reportedly been apprehended in Thailand. Authorities have begun the process of extraditing the duo to India to face trial.

The siblings had fled to Thailand shortly after the December tragedy. According to investigators, flight records revealed that the Luthras booked their tickets even as emergency responders were battling the flames and rescuing those trapped inside the ill-fated Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub.

Their arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing probe, as Goa Police continue to piece together the events leading to one of the state's most devastating fire incidents.
