Goa, Sept. 1 -- Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Yuri Alemao has strongly criticized the "double engine" BJP government for pushing coal transportation via double tracking, despite widespread public opposition.
Alemao alleged that the government is stifling dissent by filing police complaints against citizens protesting the initiative. He accused authorities of ignoring environmental and community concerns, prioritizing industrial interests over public welfare.
"The people's voices are being silenced instead of being heard. Pushing coal transport without addressing environmental and safety concerns is unacceptable," Alemao said, urging the government to reconsider its approach.
