Goa, Oct. 21 -- A public tender floated by the Lokpal of India to acquire seven BMW 330 Li (Long Wheel Base) vehicles has triggered massive controversy. The tender, dated October 16, seeks luxury cars costing over Rs.60 lakh each, sparking criticism over the anti-corruption body's procurement.
The notice invites bids from reputed agencies for the supply of the seven BMWs, with submissions open from October 17 to November 6, and evaluation beginning on November 7. The cars are expected to be delivered within two weeks, and no extension will be allowed.
