Goa, Dec. 18 -- Bush cutting operations in Partagali, Poinguinim, have triggered concern among local residents, who are questioning the Forest Department's approach. According to locals, the complete removal of shrubs and smaller plants along roadside areas has made forest pathways clearer, potentially forcing wild animals like gaurs, wild boars and leopards into nearby human habitations. Canacona councillor Shubham Komarpant has demanded that forest cover be preserved and that only obstructive vegetation be removed.
