Goa, Dec. 19 -- Liquor worth Rs 48 lakh, allegedly smuggled from Goa, was seized by Maharashtra Excise officials during two separate raids in Satara and Solapur districts. Acting on specific inputs, the teams intercepted vehicles transporting the illegal consignment. Officials confirmed that the seized liquor originated from Goa and was being transported unlawfully. Five persons have been arrested so far in connection with the case, while further investigation is underway to trace the wider smuggling network.
