Goa, Jan. 9 -- The Rumdamol Panchayat's proposed demolition drive was abruptly halted on Tuesday after a last-minute court stay order stopped bulldozer action against a workshop. Officials from the Panchayat, PWD, Electricity Department, and local police were already present on-site when the operation was called off. Authorities were acting on a court directive linked to an alleged land encroachment complaint. However, just as the demolition was about to proceed, the occupant produced a temporary stay order obtained from the court.
