Goa, May 3 -- In the wake of the tragic stampede during the Lairai Devi Zatra in Shirgaon, Goa, authorities have activated a full-scale emergency medical response. The incident, which saw amid a massive gathering of devotees, has claimed at least six lives, with over 80 reported injured. Of those hurt, 13 have been admitted to Goa Medical College (GMC), including five in critical condition, while others are being treated at Asilo and nearby facilities. Additional doctors and ICU support with ventilators have been mobilised to manage critical cases, and 10 advanced ambulances are operating to ensure swift patient care.
