Goa, May 8 -- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday announced that the much-anticipated fact-finding report on the tragic stampede during the Lairai Devi Zatra in Shirgao will be submitted to the government by this evening.
Speaking to reporters, CM Sawant confirmed, "The report will be submitted today evening, and I will brief the media and public on the findings and further steps tomorrow."
The stampede, which occurred on May 2 during the annual temple festival, claimed six lives and triggered widespread concern over crowd management and safety protocols. A committee was appointed to investigate the causes and lapses that led to the incident.
