Goa, Jan. 25 -- Koraput district in southern Odisha, predominantly inhabited by tribal communities, faced controversy over a planned ban on non-vegetarian food on Republic Day. The district magistrate had ordered a prohibition on the sale of meat, fish, chicken, eggs, and other non-vegetarian items following the suggestion of the District Level Republic Day Preparatory Committee.
