Goa, Dec. 29 -- A 34-year-old man from Kolkata died while undergoing treatment at a hospital after he was reportedly detained by locals in Bhutebhat, who allegedly suspected him of being a burglar.

Vasco Police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading to his demise. Officers said the cause of death will be established following medical and forensic examination, as inquiries continue into the events preceding his hospitalization.
