Goa, May 21 -- On May 20, the BCCI announced several major changes in IPL 2025. The board altered the venues for some matches, including those in the playoffs. Also, to tackle weather-related disruptions, the predetermined extra time to complete rain-affected matches has been extended by one hour. Now, instead of 60 minutes, 120 minutes of extra time will be allowed for the remaining league matches. Earlier, this rule applied only to playoff matches, but it has now been extended to the rest of the league stage in the current season.
