Goa, June 18 -- Rohan Harmalkar, one of the alleged masterminds in the multi-crore Goa land scam, has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Authorities have identified Harmalkar as a key conspirator in the Rs.1,000 crore land fraud case that has rocked the state.
According to the ED, Harmalkar was actively involved in the forgery and manipulation of sale deeds tied to multiple high-value properties across Goa. The scam is believed to involve illegal transfers and fraudulent documentation of government and private land, executed through a network of middlemen and officials.
