Goa, July 3 -- Porvorim Police have arrested a 25-year-old Kenyan national, Mary Wanjiku, for allegedly residing in Goa without a valid visa. Authorities detained her during a document verification drive at a hotel in Nerul.
While she was found in possession of a genuine passport, she failed to produce any valid travel documents or a visa authorising her stay in India. Police said further investigation is underway to determine the duration of her overstay and any other possible violations.
Officials have emphasized that foreign nationals must ensure all immigration paperwork is up to date to avoid legal consequences.
