Goa, March 21 -- Karnataka Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi revealed on Thursday that two attempts had been made to honey-trap a senior state minister, though both were unsuccessful. He called for a police investigation into the matter. "There were two attempts, but they weren't successful. This is not the first honey trap incident in Karnataka," Jarkiholi stated when questioned about the issue.
In the Karnataka legislative assembly, another minister claimed that 48 ministers, not just one or two, had fallen prey to similar political traps. This led Karnataka's Home Minister G Parameshwara to announce a high-level investigation into the alleged honey-trap attempts during the assembly's budget session on Thursday.
