Goa, Nov. 24 -- Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara has suggested that he remains a contender for the Chief Minister's post if the Congress opts for a leadership change, even as he downplayed ongoing speculation within the party.
Speaking to reporters, Parameshwara said, "I'm always in the race, it is not a big issue," while emphasising that no discussions have taken place at the level of the party high command.
Recalling the 2013 Assembly elections, he noted that as the then Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president, he had played a key role in bringing the party to power. "I never claimed credit solely.
