Goa, June 2 -- Nine passengers were injured-two of them seriously-after a Karnataka State Transport bus met with an accident near Margao while en route to Kumta, Karnataka. The mishap occurred when the bus veered to the extreme left side of the road and rammed into a roadside iron signboard.
The impact caused the iron frame of the signboard to pierce the side of the bus, shattering several left-side window panes. Broken glass rained down on passengers, causing multiple injuries. According to eyewitnesses, the signboard stand was completely broken in the collision.
