Goa, Nov. 5 -- Kannada Sahitya Parishad President Siddhanna Meti has hit back at Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) leader Manoj Parab, accusing him of politicising issues concerning the poor and targeting migrant workers for electoral gains.
Meti said politics should not be played at the expense of the underprivileged, alleging that Parab's remarks against migrants were aimed at "dividing Goans for votes."
Drawing a sharp comparison, Meti claimed that the RGP's approach mirrored the "divide and rule" tactics of the British era. "The RGP is dividing Goans by discriminating against migrants, just like the British did to maintain control," he said, urging unity and inclusivity among all communities in Goa.
