Goa, April 24 -- Commuters traveling on Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) buses are raising serious concerns over alleged fare manipulation, accusing the state-run service of overcharging passengers under the pretext of a "route change" that doesn't actually exist.

According to multiple passengers, KTC buses have recently started charging Rs.20 for a journey from the bus stand to Campal - a route that previously cost only Rs.9. The justification? A supposed route alteration. But commuters say the buses are merely taking one extra loop within the bus stand premises, with no actual deviation from the original route.
