Goa, Jan. 24 -- A joint site inspection of the land identified for the proposed Unity Mall at Chimbel has commenced, with authorities examining the potential impact of the project on surrounding areas.

The inspection is being carried out to assess the zone of influence and drainage lines connected to Toyyar Lake, located in Survey No. 40/1. Officials from concerned departments are evaluating whether the proposed development could affect the lake's natural drainage patterns and ecological balance.

The findings of the inspection are expected to play a crucial role in determining the project's feasibility and ensuring that environmental safeguards are put in place before any further steps are taken.
