Goa, Dec. 29 -- A joint site inspection was carried out at Abaixo Vaddo in Verla Canca on Tuesday by officials of the Verla Canca Panchayat, Water Resources Department and Health Department to address complaints related to a clogged stormwater rainwater culvert. The inspection followed concerns raised by local residents who alleged that nearby slums had expanded and encroached upon adjoining areas, worsening drainage issues. According to residents, the blocked culvert has resulted in water stagnation, posing health and sanitation risks, especially during the monsoon.
