Goa, Nov. 15 -- MLA Jit Arolkar said that although news earlier suggested his wife, Adv. Siddi Arolkar, might contest the upcoming ZP elections, and even some karyakartas supported the idea-he chose not to react immediately. He first wanted to speak to his workers and make his stance clear. Arolkar said politics should be pursued individually and not through family lines, stressing he does not believe in dynasty politics. He added that just because others follow such practices, he will not. After discussions, the karyakartas agreed, and his wife will not contest the ZP polls. He said their sole focus remains the development of the Mandrem constituency.
