Goa, May 17 -- It's a big, big final coming up as World No. 1 Jannik Sinner takes on four-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz in the Italian Open 2025 final. On one hand, Sinner is in fiery form, dominating his opponents throughout the tournament. On the other, Alcaraz brings the experience of playing in big matches, making this final even more intense.
This will be the 11th meeting between the two, with Alcaraz holding a narrow 6-4 lead in head-to-head encounters. On clay courts, however, they're evenly matched at 1-1. Sinner, returning from a three-month doping ban, has looked strong and composed, storming into the final. Alcaraz, recovering from injury, is eyeing his second ATP Masters 1000 title of the season.
